Boksone 45 Final Update

Sunday, 2/17/08

I love the fact that they feed con-goers in the con-suite; we’ve been snacking all morning (breakfast at home seems like an eternity ago). Business first thing this morning was brisk. We expanded to the next table over and now have the front left corner of the huckster’s room (whee!). We brought a bunch more books – lots of mm paperbacks, and a few more hardcovers and signed editions; with the combination of additional space, books and people, the morning has been favorable. It’s lunch time now, and things have quieted back down. Here’s some photos of the Withywindle table (man, I look stupid… thanks Obo):

(Later) Overall, I’m pleased to say that our time at Boskone 45 was a success. NESFA has (again) put together a fun and memorable convention, and we were happy to be a part of it. We got a fair number of books signed but didn’t purchase much this year (funds are low…). Some year (someday….) I’d love to be able to stay the entire weekend at the con, instead of traveling the hour + back and forth. Weather and traffic wasn’t too bad (many thanks), but it would be fun to make a ‘real’ weekend of it, and get to go to some evening events.

If we return next year I’d like to attend more panel discussions and demonstrations as I did the previous year (although wasn’t selling). For this weekend, it was a pleasure just to be here meeting new folks, strengthening ties with older acquaintances, and taking in the sights and sounds of the con.

Cheers from Boskone 45!
