Introducing: Windows on Wildlife Meme!

There are remarkably few nature-focused memes out there (relative to the whole), and of the ones that do exist, I’ve yet to find one that focuses on ALL kinds of wildlife.  There are memes for insects, birds, trees and nature photography, and a few more general ones (all of which I think are fabulous, by the way!).  But I have a soft spot for mammals, and many of my posts that are about animals focus on wildlife  (as opposed to domestic animals, for which there are several great memes already).

Since I’ve been unable to find what I’m looking for, I’ve decided to create it!  Do you write about, photograph or otherwise record your interactions with wildlife? If so, I hope you’ll join me!  On Tuesdays, I will post exclusively about wildlife of all kinds, and offer a link-up if you’d like to share your own ‘Window on Wildlife’ for that week. It doesn’t have to be about mammals – birds, insects, fish or any other type of critter are more than welcomed. The link-up will start at midnight on Monday, and go through noon on Wednesday.

How to join:

1. Copy and past the Windows on Wildlife button from our sidebar into your post, and link it back to:  http://www.withywindlenature.com/windows-on-wildlife.

2. Come to Withywindle Nature Blog between midnight Monday night/Tuesday morning and noon on Wednesday, and link up with that week’s Window’s on Wildlife.

3. Visit Windows on Wildlife the following day and stop by (and comment on!) other blogger’s Windows on Wildlife!

  1. Gee..I thought my meme was having to do with wildlife as part of nature..but Windows on Wildlife certainly sounds like a catchy title…good luck Cynthia..I hope people will use your meme to pay more attention to wildlife..

    1. You have the perfect nature meme! Actually, I feel like yours is a great way to talk about all kinds of life that we see in nature – flora, fauna, habitats, ecosystems, etc. I love it! But I have yet to see one that was only wildlife… and I put it on a different day, so I can do two independent posts, or use the same post if it works for both. 🙂 Thanks for your support!

        1. Anything, really… birds, insects, mammals, fish. Most of what you post would be relevant, as long as it’s focusing on fauna and not flora (trees, flowers, etc.). Does that help?

  2. Hello,
Is it possible to include me on your email list for updates/newsletters?
    Thanks Bob Moore 774 275-7601

    1. Hi Bob, thanks for getting in touch. I’m not currently doing a newsletter, and have (clearly!) not been blogging here much lately. Although I’ve taken down my newsletter sign up, I will be putting in an email signup so folks can be notified when I post here occasionally – and I will happily add your email!
