Half-Way Through, NaBloPoMo Update

Well, it’s November 15th, which means that I’m half-way through NaBloPoMo. I missed two days so far – one day I made up and posted twice the following day. Even though it means that I’ve technically still missed a day, the point of daily blogging feels more maintained if I’m at least keeping up with the correct number of posts. Unfortunately I missed a second day – this past Tuesday – and haven’t added an additional post.

But I still feel successful, as my goal for writing more regularly on this blog is still happening. The only question I have, is how to maintain it once the month is over. Even if I choose to continue participating in NaBloPoMo through December, I’m still wondering how to maintain my blogging regularity through the rest of the year. Any suggestions from my blogging friends?

  1. I find having a regular series – like your Windows on Wildlife – helps. With my Philanthropy Friday and Wordless Wednesday planned posts, I then aim to add at least two posts in between for some variety. When not daily blogging, I give myself weekends off. So, I guess having a schedule helps!

FYI, I’m about to launch a free e-book that might help with keeping content ideas flowing. Stay tuned!

    1. Oooh – I’m excited about your e-book! Will it coincide with the class your leading in December, or is it unrelated?

  2. Hi Cynthia. Like you, I like the accountability of having something like NaBloPoMo to keep me blogging regularly. You might like Michelle Schaeffer’s ‘Ultimate Blog Challenge’, which runs 4 times a year and is designed to have participants blog every day for a month. The next one’s in January, I think. But you maybe know of this already. Happy blogging!

    1. Hi Susan! The Ultimate Blog Challenge sounds familiar, but I can’t say I’m familiar with the specifics. I’ll be sure to check it out – thanks for the resource!
