Nature Art in Tattoos

I believe I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m in the process of getting my entire back tattooed. That sounds pretty drastic when I just spit it out like that, no preamble or anything, but I don’t feel like this is the venue for a lengthy explanation of the reasons behind this project.

But given the subject matter I thought it might be fun to share what’s been done so far since the work is pretty amazing – and beautiful:

I have a few more photos over at my personal blog (along with a current list of the fauna now on my back) and hope to further journal there about the ah, interesting experience this has been so far.  I’m sure I’ll have much better photos to share once this is complete – apologies for the lousy phone pic in the meantime.

I can’t share this without also mentioning that the very talented artist working on me is Joe Peterson at ZaZa Ink, whose website I’m in the process of redesigning in exchange for much of the tattooing.

    1. Thanks Michelle! There are artists who carry organic and/or hypoallergenic inks… just so you know. 😉

  1. Cynthia, this is unbelievably gorgeous. Seriously. Can’t wait to see the progress on it!!

BTW, strawberry season is just around the corner…want to get together for a picking/canning day with the kiddos?

    1. Thanks Kate! Yes, let’s definitely get the kids together for some picking and canning. I just re-found your phone # – I’ll try giving you a call after the long weekend, or give me a shout if you haven’t heard from me mid-week. Getting more work done next weekend – I’ll show you the progress when we get together!
