Stephen King’s Dark Tower Concordance

A limited, signed edition of Stephen King’s Dark Tower Concordance by Robin Furth has finally been released by Cemetery Dance (I pre-ordered this book literally years ago).

This is a huge, gorgeous volume, and is the definitive guide to the worlds within the 7-book epic Dark Tower story.  The author, Robin Furth, started as King’s research assistant, and the first volume of the concordance, spanning books 1 – 4 was not originally meant for publication ( the first trade edition was published in 2003 before the final Dark Tower books were published and it covered books 1 – 4; the second volume was published in 2005 following the publication of book 7 and covers books 5- 7).  As King himself says, however, “I was aware of how good it was, how interesting and readable it was. I also became aware, as time passed and the actual publication of the final three volumes grew closer, of how valuable it might be to the Constant Reader… I found this overview of In-World, Mid-World, and End-World both entertaining and invaluable. So, I am convinced, will you.”
